Plautdietsch - mennonite low german this is a course designed to help you learn plautdietsch, the dialect of low german spoken by the russian mennonites.. There is no standard low german, that means there are a lot of low germans dialects, and none of them is "correct".(or all of them are?) my mothertongue is a low german dialect called mennonite low german also known as plautdietsch. it's not only spoken here in germany, we are all over world. most are in germany, usa, canada and latin america.. So, tl;dr: low german is on its way out in most areas, and since it is only used as an in-group language, you would have to get to know the fewer and fewer people who still speak it fairly well to get them to speak it to you..
